The Bihar region in India touched by heavy floods

The Bihar is heavily affected by severe floods, reports The Times of India on Monday.

The Bagmati river breached its embankment, while the Gandak and Kosi river are posing a similar threat. These areas are some 200km from FOH-supported school in Bodghaya, run by our partners  in the Alice Project.

In 2008, over three million people were rendered homeless in Bihar when the Kosi river breached its bank upstream in Nepal and changed course. It is said to be the worst flood in the state in 50 years.
