The result of his experience is a series of pictures you can find here, as well an article in which Mr. Monteiro speaks of his project and how some members of the Maison Shalom team, including Maggy herself, describe themselves and how they got to do what they are doing now.
An exhibition of Monteiro's pictures is scheduled in Bruxelles from September 15 to October 2, and Maggy will be present at the event. Afterward, some of pictures will appear in November at the Biennale de la Photographie Africaine in Bamako, Mali.
Maggy Barankitse will be in Geneva on September 18, at FOH's event A Day to Share.
