Maggy Barankitse on Africa24

On December 19, Marguerite "Maggy" Barankitse appeared on the news of the network Africa24, the first and most important tv chain covering the whole of the continent.

Interviewed by the anchorman Jean-Celestine Edjangue, Maggy spoke about the Chirac Prize (see our post on October 10, 2011) she was awarded with, and about the motivation she always keeps on what she's doing. You can see the reel of the interview here.

Friends of Humanity and its president Graziella Zanoletti have strong ties with Maggy and her Maison Shalom. We have been helping them for the past few years, and we are now involved in the new project of the support center for sexually-abused children in Burundi. Maggy Barankitse honoured us with her presence in last September at the FOH annual fundraising event A Day to Share (in the picture Maggy and Graziella).

You can help the Maison Shalom through a donation via FOH or by buying a product on our newly active e-platform shop&help.
